Please note, all events are planned weather permitting; no thunderstorms or heavy rain. If in doubt, please call to verify we are open.
The farm is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call us for details to reserve the farm or just hang out!
THIS YEAR 2011:
Egg decorating and Easter treats on Saturday, April 23rd and Sunday, April 24th. Happy Easter! Find the golden egg, hidden in the petting farm on Easter Sunday, and win an annual Family Pass (a $75.00 value).
Mother's Day was a delight!
Mom's sat and relaxed, watched the children play in the new water feature, many brought a picnic and all had a great time on this special day. As always, moms are always free on Mother's Day.
LIVE MUSIC Saturday, June 18
11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Enjoy Charlottesville favorites Timmy Ryalls and Harry Faulker play lite rock and country original music as you picnic at the petting farm.
Father's Day
This is our first Father's Day celebration. I guess my husband should have said something earlier! Come on out and let dad relax, read a book, take a nap or just sit and enjoy the breath taking mountain views. Of course, father's are free on Father's Day.
Donkey Days of Summer!
Pet our donkeys Rosie Rou and Monty. Feed them a special treat (we will provide the treat or you may bring quartered apples or cut up carrots) every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the month of August. Picnic in the shade and let the little ones splash in our water feature and sprinklers.
Campfire and S' mores!
Join us every week-end, after the weather cools down, in September and October for our Saturday and Sunday campfire and complimentary s' mores. Parents and children delight in this cozy atmosphere to make new friends or just enjoy the mountain view from our comfortable chairs. Yum-yum. Better yet; reserve your own private campfire ($20 donation to the animals) and have a private outdoor picnic and party!
October 1st (10/8 rain date)
11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Western Hoe Down!
Featuring the Ryalls Brothers Band
This is going to be a blast! Rumor has it that the ducks are already practicing their line dance. Mom and dads: pack a picnic dinner, bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy a real country Hoe Down at the petting farm. This is a wonderful time for grandparents, aunts, uncles and the entire family and friends to get out and enjoy a truly memorable family experience. Old time Charlottesville favorites; Timmy. Larry and Steve Ryalls will keep everyone in the party mood playing lite rock and original country music. Wear your fancy western wear and enjoy a toe "kickin" good time.

Pumpkin Carving Party and Picnic!
This was so much fun last year that the animals are already looking forward to it again this year! Come on out, bring the family, meet new friends, bring your picnic dinner and of course bring a pumpkin to carve. (Don't forget to bring your carving kit and a camera.) We will build a pumpkin tower and feed the animals the pumpkin seeds. Please remember to take your pumpkin home to decorate your front door! By the way, we are growing giant pumpkins for the children to climb on for this fun fall event! Hopefully Pete the Pig and La-Dee-Da the calf will not eat the giant pumpkins this year.
We will have complimentary s'mores at this event. Come early and visit the animals. Your admission will be applied to the Pumpkin Carving Party at 3:00pm.
